Explore Economics East is an annual conference put on by the Eastern PEI Chamber of Commerce that celebrates business success in Eastern PEI. It provides entrepreneurs with the opportunity to make connections and network, be educated on topics pertaining to their everyday challenges, hands on information that can be taken back and implemented into their business, and informs them on key issues relevant to doing business in Eastern PEI.

The half day conference will begin with a networking event from 8:00 am - 9:00 am, which will include the opportunity to meet informally with legal, accounting, HR, financing and other specialized services that all small businesses require.

Speed round presentations, where local entrepreneurs speak to the success and/or challenges of growing their businesses, will be the featured morning session.

  • Increasing the skill base in our communities

  • Engaging youth

Keynote:

Mark MacDonald, CEO/ President of Northumberland Ferries will cap the fast paced day with his lunch presentation on where he sees the ferry services, a key service for businesses in Eastern and Central PEI, going into the future.
